Explanation Writing Spend, Share and Save

These are some explanatory paragraphs of ways we can Spend, Share and Saving money.

Let’s begin with spending money.  Here are some things children my age could possibly spend money on Clothing, Food ,Health Products, Electronic devices, Stationery, Shoes, Jewelry, Gaming, Gel and Sports Accessories

Now we move into what would be worth saving your money for.  Here are some examples of what I think are worthy of saving money for House, University Fees, Bank Account, Car, Vacation and Gaming Consoles

Finally we come to explaining why people would share their money.  The first reason. Because they are able to support family with bills and food to repay their parents.

Another reason to share your money may be...
Giving money to charity because they are kind and have enough money sometimes when people win the lottery they give some to charity. There are lots of charities like Youth, Families... ext.

In spending, saving and sharing money it is important to set spending goals to guide yourself.  A goal helps you to
Do you need it? Is it helpful? Are there other things I can buy?

What is the one thing you would spend your money on right now?
Car

What is the one thing (goal item) that you are going to try to save up for?

How do people receive money?

These are some ways you can receive money some very reliable and some very unreliable. I have done four different paragraphs of receiving money.

Jobs/Career
A career is the most reliable source for receiving money. There are lots of jobs that are suitable for your professions like cooking, sports, business or even cleaning. Careers are a bit different to a job because careers are usually tough and a longer and jobs are usually a short term way to earn money .

Loans
Loans are another way of receiving money. You can get a loan if you need money for buying a house ext. After receiving a loan you need to sign a contract and you need to pay about %10 more than you received. Loans are not the most reliable source of receiving money first you need a good paying job and it’s not %100 you are going to get a loan.

Competitions
If you have a talent you might be able to enter a competition. You can receive money by coming 1st 2nd or 3rd. Some competitions you can win thousands or even twenty dollars. Again competitions aren't the most reliable way of receiving money because you might not be the best at what you do.

Sports
Sports is one of the enjoyable and best ways of receiving money. You can earn a lot of money from sports some of the most successful people in the world have earnt money from sports. You can get a contract or a scholarship. This isn’t the most reliable but is one of the coolest ways.

Conclusion
There are lots of different ways of receiving money there are reliable ways and there are unreliable ways. The best way for receiving is a good job. The most unreliable would have to be gambling because the odds of earning money are very low and you probably would lose more than you win. I have written four paragraphs of receiving money.

Tamaki College

Today, Six Year Nines from Tamaki College came to our school. They used to come to our school, they're names were Uili, Wyatt, Brodie Jack, Gloria, Lisia and Taamai. They came with a teacher called Miss Maul. She asked questions to the six people. One of the questions were, "Is it different from year eight. They answered some decent answers. They even talked about the uniforms. The junior students and senior students have different uniforms. After they finished, they gave out books about Tamaki College and an enrolment.

Recount about friday

On friday Room Two and Miss Tito walked around the school and listed problems that would probably have solutions that we come up with, me and my friend Hiwarau partnered up together. There were lots of problems that we had to list down, things like footpaths needed to be redecorated.

After getting all our information  we looked at all the problems, positives and negatives and then judged the best ideas, we came up with desks that are able to be drawn on because we were getting into trouble for drawing on our desks so the solution was whiteboard desks. Now we need to find out how to create these ideas.

Technology

What Technology Means To Me?

When I walk around my house and I wondered what technology was. So the next day I went to school I asked my teacher, what is technology, and she said. Well technology is what you use to cook your food with like a stove or the oven. So I named some technology we used at my house like Television, lights,Remote control,Computer,Projector, Microwave, Coffee Maker, Cars, And a wheel.

In WW1 They used guns, big ships and airplanes that shoot booms out of the sky. In Gallipoli Anzacs fought for our country, If you're wondering what Anzac means it means. It means Australia New Zealand Army Corps. Back In the 70s they did not use technology. In our days now were use technology to help make our lives easier.

Technology can be lots of things like toys that can be controlled to a wheels or button so they come in all shapes and sizes. Technology has advanced rapidly through the twentieth century.

Dear William

Its good to know that you are recovering from your bullet wound and that you are being well looked after by the nurses and well away from danger. Hopefully you are finding communication a bit easier towards the nurses.

I hope you have a safe journey to France. I am curious to know what you will be traveling by. Luckily the trip isn't that far from England.

It is very good to hear that our brothers are getting along together in England. You need to ask if they can send some letters to me and keep me updated.

Yours sincerely

Brandon

My grandparents

Last week my grandparents have traveled across the world from the United Kingdom. They arrived in New Zealand at eight o’clock in the morning. There flight was twenty four hours from London to Los Angeles and straight to New Zealand.

My grandparents names are Philip and Jen but I call them “Nany and Grampys”. Me and my sister, brother and my Dad left to the airport at seven thirty in the morning but it was delayed for half an hour. Seeing my grandparents go thru the door I didn't really recognize them and it was the same for them they only notest my dad,The last time I seen them was two years ago so I was happy to see them.

The activities we have done with my grandparents was going to Waiwera hot pools, and this Saturday we are going all the way down to the Coromandel to hot water beach. I am really happy that here for the next two weeks.

traveling around polyfest

The one highlight for Polyfest would be traveling around Polyfest. Traveling around Polyfest I think was my favorite activity, Because it was fun seeing all the stores and some of the performers. Me and my friend Hiwarau were asking some of the performers what cultures their performing in.

I was also fun talking to other schools and seeing some older Point Englanders that have gone to college.

Polyfest

Kia Ora, talofa lava, malo e lelei, faakalofa lahi atu, kia orana, bula vinaka, namaste and greetings!!  It’s Pasifika week in Aotearoa, this means it’s a week long celebration of all things Pacific.  This includes the birthday dance we had with Mrs Tele’a!  Part of the celebration is the Polyfest!  This Thursday we are planning to travel to Manukau to take part in some workshops and then visit stages.  The two stages we will be visiting will be the Maori and Diversity stages.  Did you know that this event - the Polyfest celebrates 40 years since it’s beginning?  Awesome isn’t it!

I think the young people and their Whanau participate in this event, because there are lots of people that have friends that enjoy and have fun at these events, and it is a good way to participate and interact with others. And show their skills.

Things that I think that the performers have to do to become fit and prepared for the event. What I think they need to do to become ready for polyfest is eat healthy, run (to build stamina) and practice every day.

How this event promotes the different cultures. I think this event promotes other cultures because if you are wanting to dance in the Tongan group you don't need to be Tongan to join so it is multicultural. And there will be a mix of different cultures in the group.

I am looking forward to the Polyfest because I really enjoy events such as Pacifica, and also looking forward to the school trip to Polyfest.

Dictation Practise

Once again, pig and wolf came face to face and things aren't looking too good for the pigs. Who will protect the emperor? Is there anyone who will answer his high pitched squeal for help? Anyone at all? Better bang that gong, ping pong!

I am Oinky No-Ho. Adviser to the great emperor Ping Pong, and priest of the monastery of Wu-Da-Ling. I am hear to tell you of the kung-fu pigs, and of how they fought to defend our lands against that most evil trader, the Crimson in Trotter (He who keeps the company of wolves). In this tail you will learn of bandits and our foul play. Of magic swords and evil spells. And so, honorable stranger, let us begin...

Conference with students in Hawaii

Today our school had a conference with two other schools in Hawaii. Our purpose was to find out about schools in Hawaii and how they do things that relate to our school in New Zealand.

The two schools that we video called was Kea’au Elementary and Nanakuli Elementary. We conferenced and shared information about our schools. We also taught them how to farewell people in Māori.

The twelve schools in Manaiakalani cluster like Pt England, Tamaki Primary, St Pius X, Glenbrae School, Tamaki College (here are some more that I can't be bother to write down >>>CLICK<<<) are soo lucky because on the 24th of March the Hokulea Crew are going to be sailing to the shores of the Tamaki river, and your school are going to be welcoming them with a chant and a Māori Waiata that the Manaiakalani school have hopefully learnt.

What I found interesting about the video conference is that lots of there nationality are Asian.

My test writing

One thing that I can think of is a trip to the Coromandel in Waikato.

My family of five decided to go on a journey away from Auckland. “We haven't ever gone on an outing to the Coromandel” my siblings said in a nagging tone my Dad said back in a powering tone “I’ll think about it” when he said that we all thought that the answer was no. But about five minutes after my uncle arrived because my Dad had texted him to find out if he wanted to come with our family outing.

My Dad yelled out get your swimming togs ready I didn't really know what else he said because I too busy running to my room. Me and my brother where the first to get off the game it almost looked like we were racing down the hall but we were just excited. “Brandonnn” my sister whined “what do you want Keyana?” “can you help me find my toggs?” “there right there on the ground” “oh thanks”.

It took awhile for all of us to get the food and accessories ready it was only 10am. Once almost all of us were ready because my sister was still putting her togs on, the car was oiled and the petrol was topped up, the last thing my dad almost forgot to check was the tide and weather, which the tables were turned and it was raining in Waikato and the tide was low, oh well we’ll have to go tomorrow “oww” we said sadly.

The following day we had everything ready from the day before and we even checked the tides and weather and all was good. “Karakia before we leave” Dad said which he done. In the car we were playing a game called cricket which is when you see a white car and then your turn begins in till you see two red cars and how much cars you counted was how much points you get.

Finally we arrived I can't really tell you what happened on the ride there because I fell asleep. We first brought some shovels to dig holes in the sand because there is natural hot water from under the sand.
It was a relaxing time but very hot I burnt myself twice because it was to hot. But thankfully there was a cold ocean in front of us so we could cool of. The time turnt 5 o'clock and that was the time we had to go sadly but thankfully because I was very tired.

these are my goals for this year

First day back at school

Yesterday was the first day back at school!. And this year I am a year 8 at Pt England school.

The first activity that was a bit like a ice breaker. Then we moved onto art and we drew a portrait of our self. And in the background we drew our hobbies, culture, family and something that you choose.
