Tommy Kapai Wilson

Tommy Kapai Wilson is the author for the book Kapai the Kiwi. Tommy talked about his lifestyle and tort us that war is dum because his dad thought that war was cool but once he came back he sead war is dum.

I was chosen to write with Tommy Wilson and the story is about a magic touchstone. And one day it is missing and we have to find it and if we don’t return it something bad is going to happen.

But the thing that Tommy Wilson tort me was to make ten people smile a day.

Cross country recount

Today we practiced recrafting a piece of writing. The first paragraph belongs to Aldora and the second is mine.

“Cross country, Cross country” is the worst event ever. I would never dream about cross country. Today is cross country and I am not feeling good. But I  just want to support my team TE ARAWA.  “GO TE ARAWA” I said quietly to myself.

This is my version of Aldora's story

Cross country “Why me?” I sat nervously. I didn’t know if I could win or if I might fall in the mud. I took a big breath and remembered the race from last year. I then knew what my goals were, I just hoped I would win.

Cross Country Practice

“Cross country practice” Miss King said ow do we have to yes if you want to be fit for the real cross country you're going to have to.

Once we arrived at the big court all team four was there. We sat in a line

“Now listen up” Miss Garden said, we have made a new course. Just when Miss Garden was going to say another word Mister Somerville said“the foot path is blocked off”.

Ok change of plan we are just going to run up to Mister Marks around him, cross the road and then up River Side Road

“Room 13” Miss Garden said I took off but I didn’t want to run because I didn’t want to waste my breath.

My friend Moses and I were running together I could hear feet pounding the pavement I thought I was going to give up but I didn’t.

I could then see Mister Marks I thought that it was easy.

Running past Mister Marks I forgot that I had to run around him. “Brandon” he said “you've got to run around me”

Catching up to my friend I noticed that I was running past my house.

I was now up to Miss King there was cars coming “stop” said Miss King, while we were jogging on the spot. The cars went past “Go!” Just running up the road I noticed that I was almost finished.

I felt great I thought that it was short I felt much fitter. My goal is to beat my score. I can’t wait for the next cross country practice.

In 1896 the Pheidippides run was revived and called a marathon.

Olympics

Today is the first day of term three and we are learning about Olympics. The Olympics are when countries all around the world and people show of what their talents. I like the long jump because I like how fast they can run and jump. I think that this term is going to be cool.
